The Portsmouth-based warship HMS St Albans is returning to sea with better engines – and ovens – after maintenance work.
The Type 23 frigate spent five weeks going through upgrades for her next spell in service. The work ranged from changing engines to replacing ovens and fryers in the galley.

As well as the galleys there was work done on the ship's missile defences, Seawolf, which has undergone essential maintenance and testing.
