A POST office is set to move into a shop.

Plans have been revealed to move the Fareham branch, currently in West Street, to the WH Smith store in the same road.

The new branch will have five serving positions and three self-service kiosks.

Staff will be moved over to the new site.

Roger Gale, general manager of the Post Office Crown Network, said: ‘We are committed to keeping our services on the high street which we know is hugely important to people. This proposal means we can continue to do that, into the future.’

A consultation started yesterday and ends on December 7.
