A CHARITY’s new double-decker bus is set to be launched.

Y-Service’s big new yellow bus – which was previously run by First Solent – will be officially unveiled on Wednesday.

The charity which supports young people across Fareham have had their new bus kitted out with a coffee bar, an Xbox and comfy seating while the upstairs will become a dedicated place for young people to play games, activities and be used as a space for meetings and for young people to talk to youth workers.

Dozens of children are helped by the charity right across the borough.

Councillor Sean Woodward, leader of Fareham Borough Council – who provided £6,00 worth of funding for the project – said: ‘Y-Services is a charity for young people which I have worked with for a number of years. I have the greatest admiration for its engagement with young people.’

It will be unveiled in Fareham town centre at 12.30pm.
