PEOPLE are being urged to give their thoughts on plans to improve play areas.

Sarisbury Green play area in The Green, Sarisbury and Newton play area in Newtown, Portchester are both set to get new pieces of equipment as part of Fareham Borough Council’s improvement programme.

The local authority has opened a public survey into gathering what residents would like to see in the two play areas.

Councillor Sue Bell, the council’s executive member for leisure said: ‘Sarisbury Green and Newtown are the latest play areas which we’ve identified for improvements, as part of our ongoing investment in our recreation facilities.

‘I would like to encourage residents to get involved and have their say so we can make them as good as possible for parents and children alike.’
