AN Indian restaurant which was given a zero food hygiene rating earlier this month, has had the safety of its food declared ‘generally satisfactory’ in a new report.

Sea of Spice, in West Street, Fareham was previously given the rating after blood was found smeared on the freezer.

Ahmed Dulal, the manager of the restaurant said that the blood came from raw meat.

The new report, which is expected to be published online in the next few weeks has seen inspectors give the restaurant a rating of three - meaning it is generally satisfactory.
