A MAYOR will open up a new hospice shop on Thursday.

Councillor Connie Hockley, Fareham’s mayor, will open up The Rowan Hospice’s new homeware shop at 27 Stubbington Green in Stubbington at 11am.

The shop will sell home and kitchenwear, children’s clothing as well as upcycled furniture and craft materials.

Shop manager Teresa Ross said: ‘I’m really excited to join The Rowans Hospice team and to be managing such a beautiful shop.’

Katie Green, retail area coach for The Rowans said: ‘Stubbington seems to be the perfect location for our new shop with lovely shops and tea rooms nearby.

‘We hope our shop will add to the retail experience already on offer to the village.’
