Petition on Portchester's identity to be debated by council in December

A PETITION from residents calling for their village's name to be added to official postage was heard by a council on Thursday night.

The petition, which has more than 1,600 signatures calling for Portchester’s name to be on all postage, was presented by Councillor Geoff Fazackarley to Fareham Borough Council at a full council meeting.

It will now go to full debate in the council at a meeting in December before the executive makes a decision.
