Alex Handford, business manager at Hampshire Farmers’ Markets, said: ‘This is a first for us and Hill Farm and we’re all very much looking forward to welcoming our producers and friends and families to Swanmore for the day.

Those who have apple trees in their back garden are invited to bring along their harvest to press.

There will be tractor rides around the farm before a sneak peak inside Hill Farm’s pressing and bottling plant.

‘There will be something for everyone at Applefest’, said Will Dobson of Hill Farm.

‘Bring the kids along to have their faces painted and try their hands at some sand art.

‘Grown-ups can have a go at woodland coppicing, plus there will be live music all day.’

As well as apples to press and juice to drink there will be plenty of other Hampshire produce to pick up.

Berceries will be bringing along their home-baked products to sell and the always-popular fishcakes by Catch Isle of Wight are expected to sell out on the day too.
