Whiteley firm gets baking to raise money

Whiteley-based Contractor Mortgages Made Easy was inspired by the start of television show Great British Bake Off and held its own baking competition.

Following on from previous successful fundraising events, the company has now set up a charity committee which is aimed at raising money for three charities including Gosport organisation Harbour Cancer Support Centre. The firm will hold events twice a month.

Sat Singh, chief executive, said: ‘Setting up the charity committee has helped to bring the company together for some great causes, and it’s been a fantastic first event of many planned.

‘The bake off cakes were all delicious and we even crowned two star bakers.’

At the end of the year, the total raised from the events will be collected and divided between the three charities.
