Gosport pre-school moves from '˜inadequate' to '˜good' after inspection

A PRE-SCHOOL has been boosted after an inspector changed its rating from '˜inadequate' to '˜good.'

Little Explorers Nursery and Pre-school in Heritage Business Park, Gosport has seen its rating bumped up two levels following a recent report.

An Ofsted inspector visited the pre-school and nursery on February 14 and praised the staff and teaching in the March 8 report.

Teresa Newman, the inspector said: ‘The management team shows a strong commitment to the nursery and have worked tirelessly to make substantial improvements.

‘The quality of teaching has improved since the last inspection.

‘Children are inquisitive and enthusiastic learners and show a good level of sustained interest in the broad range of resources and activities.’

The pre-school’s previous rating came from its former inspection last August.

There are a total of 197 children at the facility which looks after those aged from newborns to four.
