A STREET collection from the Gosport branch of the Salvation Army raised more than £250.

The collection was held on High Street, Lee-on-the-Solent, on July 16.

A total of £261.34 was collected for the Christian church and charity, which is based at The Crossways in Gosport. There were no expenses.

Permit holder Pauline Humphries said that she was ‘very grateful’ for the donation from generous shoppers.
