THE Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire has awarded grants to local charities to tackle hate crimes.

Gosport and Fareham Motiv8, Motiv8 South and Spring Arts and Heritage Centre, in Havant, are three of 11 charities that will receive funding from Michael Lane to run a range of activities.

Mr Lane said: ‘The projects that will be funded have demonstrated new and innovative ideas that will increase the reporting and identification of hate crime and the support given to the victims who come forward to report these crimes.

‘I am pleased to be funding these projects.’
