TWO Church of England schools have received high praise in a recent inspection.
Leesland Infant and Junior schools in Gosport, which form the Leesland CofE Federation, were both given top marks from a National Society inspection, which focuses on effectiveness of leadership of the school and the impact of collective worship on the school community.
A feature of both inspection reports is how well the children understand the Federation’s core Christian values of love, respect and grace, and how these underpin the ethos and culture in both schools.
In the junior school report, it said that students have a clear understanding of the core Christian values.
Parents recognise that their children are cared for.
Claire Wilson, executive headteacher, said: ‘The federation is particularly pleased that inspectors recognised the hard work that has taken place to improve the academic achievement of children who are now making better progress in their learning with more children attaining national expectations.’
