Marine businesses call for Gosport transport improvements
Gosport Marine Scene (GMS) says that with plans to develop the Gosport waterfront and the Royal Haslar Hospital, transport to the eastern side of the peninsula should be keenly looked at.
The group backs the proposed £35m Stubbington bypass.
GMS secretary Peter Cardy said: ‘Both the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership’s infrastructure plan and the Stubbington bypass are set to improve connectivity but they need to look more at improving connections into the marine side of Gosport.’

The group has also called for a ‘more effective’ bus route between the Gosport peninsula and Fareham Railway Station, claiming it would have marked benefits.
