Hide AdPortsmouth magistrates made closure orders sealing the flats earlier this year in July.
Now the tenants have been permanently evicted under court orders.
Julie Smith, the council’s head of housing, said: ‘We’re very pleased that the courts agreed with us that these properties should be repossessed.
‘Our residents should not have to put up with the kind of behaviour they suffered in these cases. It’s good that we can now put these properties to proper use.’
A council spokesman added: ‘The one-bedroom flats will be deep-cleaned and made available to local people on the housing waiting list.’
