THOUSANDS of people are set to descend on HMS Sultan in Gosport tonight for their bonfire and fireworks show.

The event, which is one of the largest in the area, will also see entertainers including fire breathers and a funfair with rides.

Gates for the day open at 6pm and the bonfire will be lit at 7.15pm with the main firework display to take place at 8pm.

The gates will then close at 10.30pm.

Advance tickets for the event are available from The News Boutique in High Street, Gosport, the Armed Forces Shop in Stoke Road, Queen’s Parade Newsagents in Privett Road, the Tesco Superstore in Grange Road and the CAF Office at HMS Sultan.
