ENTHUSIASTIC personnel at HMS Sultan, in Gosport, have been putting their skills to the test, through a number of environmentally themed challenge.

Teams from across the Defence Business Service took on the challenge of coming up with creative flower displays to fill concrete flower beds with a budget of just £10.

Glenn Chatwood, Sultan’s environment and energy manager, had the difficult task of judging and the top prize was a giant garden gnome.

Glenn said: ‘It was a real privilege for me to be asked to come along and judge all of the different entries.

‘You could see the attention to detail of each group and picking a winner was a real challenge.’
