The trail will be hosting a pop-up exhibition of some work on Wednesday, April 5, at The Brookfield Hotel between 6.30pm and 9pm.

For one night only a piece of work from each of the artists and makers exhibiting on this year’s trail will be on display, offering an ideal opportunity for visitors to preview the breadth of talent that awaits them.

Carol Price, the chairman of Emsworth Arts Trail, said: ‘Our sneak preview will feature work in a variety of mediums and styles including painting, print-making, photography, furniture-making, weaving, wood-turning, ceramics, jewellery and textile art.

‘We’d like to invite as many people as possible along to meet our artists and find out more about this year’s trail.’

The Emsworth Arts Trail has gone from strength to strength over the years, bringing many additional visitors to the town.

This year promises to be the biggest yet, with 77 venues and more than 150 artists taking part,

Organisers have been working with local businesses to provide space in shop windows and premises to feature artists’ work in a popular Adopt An Artist scheme, which helps boost awareness and aims to create an artistic vibe throughout the town.

Carol added: ‘We are delighted so many shops, restaurants, churches, pubs and cafes in the town have offered their premises as temporary galleries so visitors will be able to take advantage of all that Emsworth has to offer while enjoying the art on display.

Nearly all the venues are based near the centre of Emsworth so visitors will be able to follow the Art Trail map on foot or by bike to take in as many as they like’

The trail will be taking place on April 22 and 23; and April 29 and 30 and May 1. For more information people can visit the website emsworthartstrail.org.uk.
