Southern Rail announce service plans in preparation for potential RMT strike

Southern Rail will be running more trains and buses if tomorrow's last-minute talks with RMT conductors fail.

Buses will run between Chichester and Havant as part of Southern’s contingency plan for the proposed strikes from October 11 - 13.

Southern passenger service director Angie Doll said: ‘We very much hope that our talks tomorrow will be productive and bring an end to this unnecessary dispute.

‘But if next week’s strike does go ahead, then we will be doing all we can to provide the best possible levels of service for our passengers, using every resource available to us.’
