AN MP is speaking at two events backing Brexit.

Penny Mordaunt, Portsmouth North MP, is to speak at a rally with Grassroots Out on Sunday at the Royal Naval Club and Royal Albert Yacht Club, in Pembroke Road, Old Portsmouth.

The rally, which is touring across the country, will run from midday to 1pm and the public are invited.

Organiser Matt Walsh said: ‘It will be a very lively event.’

It comes as voters will head to the polls on June 23 to decide if Britain should leave the European Union.

Ms Mordaunt will also join speakers at a Veterans For Britain event in Tiger Tiger, Gunwharf Quays, on June 11.

Speakers on the day include defence minister Julian Brazier, Rear Admiral Roger Lane-Nott, and Major General Julian Thompson.

The Veterans for Britain group aims to give military personnel a platform in the referendum campaign.

Ms Mordaunt has previously been joined in Portsmouth by employment minister Priti Patel in the Vote Leave battlebus on May 18.
