Children'shalf-termactivities inPortsmouth

Portsmouth's museums are offering family fun next week with a range of events for children.

Starting tomorrow, they can take part in a television discovery trail, as part of Portsmouth Museum’s current exhibition, which runs until February 28.

Youngsters can explore their favourite TV characters, hunt for toys and puppets, solve puzzles and create drawings while following a rhyming trail around the museum, for 50p.

There is a Creation Station workshop at the museum on Tuesday where children can build a robot from recycled materials, make and decorate funky robot glasses and create their own character puppet.

This drop-in workshop, from 11am to 3pm, is suitable for children aged two to 11 and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets cost £3 per child or £1.75 with a leisure card.

Eastney Beam Engine House is holding two free open days on Wednesday and Thursday from 1pm to 5pm.
