Dickens' work features on new interactive app

YOUNGSTERS will now be able to read the literary tales of the city's most acclaimed author thanks to a new mobile app.

Charles Dickens’ work has now been made available to download as part of a new educational iClassics Collection of AppBooks.

It has been launched in an effort to drive up reading levels in pupils at primary school.

It comes after recent figures revealed that half of all boys aged 11 failed their Year 6 Sats exams.

The AppBook series aims to create a more immersive reading experience for children, bringing stories to life with pictures and interactive displays.

Each App within the iClassics Collection cost £2.99, and is available on iOS and Android.
