THE stars of one of television’s most-loved series will be appearing at a charity concert.

St Peter’s Church, in Titchfield, will host a Downton-inspired Christmas concert on Monday with the writer himself, Lord Julian Fellowes.

He will be joined at the fundraiser for Breast Cancer Haven by actress Samantha Bond, who played Lady Rosamund Painswick in Downton Abbey and is also known for her role as Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond films.

This year’s MasterChef winner Jane Devonshire will also be in attendance.

This traditional Christmas concert is the pinnacle of the Breast Cancer Haven events calendar.

Fundraising manager Sally Hillyear said: ‘The event with Martin Clunes and Alan Titchmarsh last year was a huge success and made everyone feel very Christmassy.

‘We’re delighted to be joined by Downton creator Lord Julian Fellows, actress Samantha Bond and MasterChef winner Jane Devonshire.

‘Tickets for our drinks and canape reception have sold out but we have tickets to watch the concert available at £20 each.

‘It really does kick-start a magical Christmas.

‘We want to raise vital funds but more importantly raise awareness of the centre, which means that those that need us know about us.

‘All the monies raised will ensure that we can provide our visitors with free personalised programmes of support.

‘Breast Cancer Haven helps breast cancer sufferers and their friends and family.

‘We are the only national charity that provides free one-to-one emotional and physical support and therapies.’

Downton-inspired music will be played by trumpeters, pianists and local choir West Hill will be performing, joined by opera singers and young singers.

Tickets can be bought at breastcancerhaven.org.uk or in person at Breast Cancer Haven, Titchfield Square.
