Ferry services in Portsmouth not hit by border delays
INCREASED security by French border officials, which has caused misery for holidaymakers in Dover, is not affecting travel from Portsmouth's International Ferry Port, an official has confirmed.
All the travel hub’s services are running on time and are not delayed by the tighter border controls over the Channel.
It comes after Brits hoping to sail overseas have faced delays of up to 14 hours over the weekend queuing to get past the increased security at Dover.
A port spokesman said: ‘There are no delays here. All our services from Portsmouth to France are running normally.’
