FINE art students are set to stage their final exhibition.
The University of Portsmouth course has long been slated for closure and the final six Masters students are finishing.
Now an exhibition will be held at Action Stations in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard between August 19 to September 2.
Student Aisla Brims said: ‘We are very excited to be holding this exhibition at Action Stations. I think some people get put off by the words fine art – I certainly didn’t understand it at first.
‘But fine art covers everything and it’s about challenging how people see the world.
‘There will be a wide range of artistic genres on show and it promises to be an interesting and exciting show.’
Kerry Jarvie, head of attractions for the Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust, said: ‘With its history and atmosphere, Action Stations is a unique location and attraction, so we’re delighted to be holding this exhibition to celebrate fine art.’
