Fundraiser braced for abseiling adventure

A FUNDRAISER from Portsmouth will be scaling new heights with her latest charity event.

Rebecca Lambert will be abseiling 94 metres down the Spinnaker Tower on Sunday in aid of The Rowans Hospice.

But it’s not the first time risk-loving Rebecca has tackled an adrenaline-pumping fundraiser for the hospice – last year she did a skydive for it.

Rebecca, who is a business manager for A G Stapleford & Sons Funeral Directors in Buckland, said: ‘I will be raising funds for The Rowans Hospice as each day my colleagues and I meet families who have sadly lost relatives with terminal illnesses and we hear a lot about the wonderful care that they have received at the hospice.’

Her skydive raised more than £1,100 for The Rowans. She hopes to try and beat that figure this time.

So far she has raised £280.

Alternatively, deposits can be left at her work, in Powerscourt Road, Buckland.
