A GOLDEN ticket draw has been announced as part of the fundraising campaign to bring new toilets to the Kings Theatre.

The Southsea venue will give the ticket to one person who contributes to its ‘Pounds for Pennies’ crowdfunding scheme.

Every person who donates will automatically be put into a draw to win the ticket, which will entitle the winner to an unlimited number of shows for a year.

The initiative, which was launched at the start of the month, is raising money for the refurbishment of the theatre’s dress circle toilets.

Kelly Haswell, marketing manager, said: ‘This is our first time entering the world of online fundraising, so we wanted to make sure we offered something special for those who support us.

‘After regular mentions in feedback from audiences, improving the toilets is now the top priority for The Kings Theatre Trust.

‘The campaign has received support from celebrity patrons and local dignitaries who all took part in a video.

‘The campaign closes in July, so we hope people will move quickly to support us.’
