A PHONE thief got caught out trying to sell on a mobile.

Jack Olsen, 18, of no fixed address, stole an iPhone worth £300 in Southsea between February and March this year.

He admitted theft at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

Olsen also admitted fraud by offering a phone for sale for £25 that was not his.

Magistrates imposed a community order with 15 days of rehabilitation activity requirements.

They ordered that he must pay £25 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £40 prosecution costs.
