FAMILIES had fun all the way at a nursery’s garden party that raised £240 for a charity dedicated to supporting families with younger children.

The Kiddi Caru in Whiteley hosted the event for Home-Start UK.

There was fun for all the family with activities such as face-painting, games and races available for the families to enjoy.

Mr Tall, a magician and balloon artist, was provided entertainment.

A barbecue, cake sale, pick-and-mix stall and raffle were held and a pop-up beauty parlour opened for the afternoon.

Nursery manager Cath Turner said: ‘We had a fantastic day and are delighted that we managed to raise so much money for this amazing cause.

‘A big thank you to all of the families who made this possible by coming along and joining in the fun.’

All money raised on the day will go to Home-Start, which provides support in making a difference to the lives of vulnerable children from an early age until they become young adults.

The charity has volunteers based at 300 centres around the UK and have a total of 11 centres across Hampshire, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight.
