A PIG’S head has been tied to the gates of a Muslim school.

Horrified staff and pupils made the gruesome discovery this morning at the Madani Academy in Lake Road, Landport.

We’re upset, we’re really upset

A man dropping off a relative said children and staff were scared.

He said: ‘Dropping off a member of my family today to the Portsmouth Madani school I was disgusted to find it.

‘The school is very hurt by this and children and adults where very disturbed and scared.’

The animal’s head has been daubed with an offensive message about Allah and a swastika has been drawn on it.

The consumption of pork is forbidden for Muslims.

Teaching at the school is based on Islamic practices.

Luthufur Rahman, in charge at the school, said: ‘We’re upset. We’re really upset.’

He confirmed the school remains open today and police have been called.

It is the second time a pig’s head has been put on the gates at the school based in Merefield House.

The previous incident was on December 3 in 2013 prior to the school opening.

A small number of protestors previously held a march against the school in October 2014.
