A COUNCILLOR is one of the latest crop of recruits to join a crime panel.

Councillor Lynne Stagg, who represents Baffins on Portsmouth City Council, has joined the Hampshire Police and Crime Panel with four other new members.

The panel scrutinises and challenges Michael Lane, the police and crime commissioner for Hampshire.

Also joining Councillor Stagg is Isle of Wight councillor Reg Barry, Rushmoor borough councillor Frank Rust, Michael Coombes, the former finance director at Hampshire Constabulary, and Bob Purkiss MBE.
