People in Portsmouth and Gosport are without electricity this afternoon after earlier power cuts.

Residents living in the PO2 and PO13 postcodes have been affected, with power expected to be returned before 6pm.

It comes after thunderstorms and rain swept across Portsmouth last night.

It is not yet known how many homes have been affected, or what has caused the two power cuts.

Network operators Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks has been contacted for comment.
