PARAMEDICS have rushed a man in his 50s to hospital after he fell off a ladder.
He suffered serious chest and arm injuries in the fall, in North End Avenue, Portsmouth, at 5.08pm.
The ambulance service had said he fell from a roof, but it's now understood he fell off a ladder.
A South Central Service Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: 'It came in at 5.08pm, a man in his 50s fell.
'We sent one rapid response car, one responder and air ambulance.
'He's gone by road to UHS (Southampton General Hospital) and he's serious, he has a chest and arm injury.'
The air ambulance landed in nearby Alexandra Park.
