SHOPPERS in Waterlooville were treated to live music from local bands.

Musicians from the Ready to Rock school, which has members from across the Portsmouth area, put on the show at the Waterlooville bandstand on Saturday.

The free concerts are staged by the Waterlooville Events team – a group of residents and businesses who work together for the benefit of the community.

Jackie Buckley, from Waterlooville Events, said: ‘It was a fantastic Rock Saturday at the Waterlooville bandstand. Ready to Rock school played in the sunshine and the music was amazing. Waterlooville Precinct was certainly brightened by the music. The talent of the musicians, some of whom were only 16, was fantastic.’

Ready to Rock School will be heading to Victorious Festival this weekend. As well as performing, they will be in the Kids Arena holding interactive sessions. Children aged eight to 15 will have the chance to learn to play a instrument. For details visit victoriousfestival.co.uk
