'˜Horrible shock' as dead mouse found under windscreen wiper

A woman has spoken of her '˜horrible shock' when she found a dead mouse under her windscreen wiper after she parked in a private road.

Clare Astbury was visiting West Wittering yesterday at lunch time and decided to visit the sea at Berry Barn Lane, a private road.

She parked her car, took her camera and set off to the beach, and returned ten minutes later.

When she came back, Clare saw that someone had placed the dead rodent under her windscreen wiper.

She said: ‘This is the most shocking thing that has ever happened to me in my car.

‘It was a horrible shock! Who would do this? Surely a polite note would have sufficed.’
