Three hundred Portsmouth Scouts, Guides and leaders met up for an action packed Mix and Meet weekend.
The camp, at the Solent Scout training centre, Shedfield near Botley, is held every other year. The Scouts and Guides were put into mixed teams and went from one activity to the other scoring points.
Neil Miles, 34, has been camp leader at the event for the last four years, and said: 'The Scouts have had some ups and downs but there are over 1,000 members in Portsmouth alone'.
Activities on the adventure weekend included archery, circus skills and aerial runways.
The activity camp also some back to basic Scouting skills as well, such as bushcraft. Members are also taught fire lighting and spend the night in a tipi.
Mr Miles, who became a Cub at eight, said: 'It is definitely worthwhile and helps the kids with life skills.'
The past 20 years has seen huge changes in activities. Each team leader must now have a permit to teach activities such as abseiling.
Mr Miles said: 'I had a Scout I use to look after who recently climbed Everest. It is much more of a bigger scale.'
