Children were treated to a Chinese cookery masterclass from top chefs.
The pupils from Heathfield Special School, Fareham, had been learning all about Chinese culture on the back of the Beijing Olympics in the summer.

So staff at the Water Margin in Gunwharf Quays were more than willing to give the youngsters an insight into Chinese food.

A highlight of the day was watching the chefs cook with the large flaming woks, and tucking into the spring rolls they had made earlier.

Teacher Denise Taylor said: 'The children were so excited to learn more about Chinese cooking and culture.

'Some of them had not tasted it before and they loved it. I am so grateful to the staff at the Water Margin.

'They were so keen to get involved straightaway.

'It is so great to see local business supporting the school and the children's education and we are all so thankful for that.'
