CHILDREN and their parents stepped back nearly 500 years time as they dressed in clothes of a kind worn in early Tudor times.
Young and old posed for pictures in tight corsets and flat hats at the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

Teresa Brown, a worker at the Mary Rose Museum, said: 'It was really quite successful. Kids loved it.'

The dockyard regularly hosts free activities and events.

This weekend, a master rigger will show visitors how to perfect a Hangman's Noose and Monkey's Fist.

For information about this event and a full list of others, go to www.historic dockyard.co.uk/events or ring (023) 9283 9766.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.
