A life-long Pompey fan died after realising her dream of watching her beloved club scoop the FA Cup for a second time.
Daphne Jackson passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by memorabilia from the Premiership club.

The 75-year-old watched Portsmouth FC win the cup 69 years ago and followed the club religiously.

She attended almost every home game from 1947, missing only a handful of matches because of illness.

Her devotion was such that she even received a telegram from the club on her 21st birthday.

Mrs Jackson's home at Arundel Way, Elmer Sands, is packed with Portsmouth FC memorabilia.

Her son Gren, 40, said: 'Portsmouth winning the FA Cup meant everything to her. She loved Harry.'

Family and friends packed St Nicholas Church in Middleton-on-Sea at a service for Mrs Jackson.
