A group of young people have used their artistic skills to brighten up a children's area in a treatment centre.
Jennifer Roberts, 14, Alexis Harrow, 14, Jamie Haywood, 18, and Stephanie Spacey, 15, were delighted to show off their handiwork at the St Mary's Independent Sector Treatment Centre in Milton.
The teenagers were among a group of 10 young people from Portsmouth groups Motiv8 and Changes Southern Ltd who were approached to help brighten up the children's rooms and waiting areas for children and young people there.
Portsmouth City Teaching Primary Care Trust lead nurse Jo Lawson called on them for help after spotting the impressive work they had done in creating a logo for the R U Sorted website for young people in the city.
She said: 'They have done a fantastic job. I asked them if there was anything they thought could improve the areas and they came up with the murals.'
The children's rooms and waiting area murals were painted in bright colours and an 'under the sea' theme to match the paediatric department at the new Queen Alexandra superhospital in Cosham.
