People let their artistic imaginations run wild as part of The Big Draw.
The national event took place at locations across the area, including the John Pounds Centre in Portsmouth.

This year the theme was different modes of transport.

The art was created by children using Portsmouth as a canvas, and they looked at healthier lifestyles and greener ways of travelling in the city.

The artwork included a 32ft drawing of people's ideas on the city with portraits of family and friends walking, cycling and having fun.

Hazel Hine, corporate initiatives manager in community housing for Portsmouth City Council, said: 'When we twizzled the drawing round it looked like a head and there is an artist's joke about turning Portsmouth on its head.

'It was great fun and lovely to get everybody together. There was a lot going on.

'It was good for people to think about other modes of transport other than using cars and what travelling in the future might look like.'
