A SOUTHSEA girl has vowed not to become last year's model despite being evicted from a reality TV show.
Lauren Donaldson-Stanley, 19, was the fourth model to be voted off by the judges on Britain's Next Top Model this week.

One of the judges, Gerry DeVeaux, eliminated her from the competition saying she was losing confidence as she was aware of being slightly cross-eyed.

Lauren said she was disappointed but the experience hadn't put her off pursuing a career of catwalks and photo shoots.

Lauren, whose dad Gary Stanley used to play football for Pompey and Chelsea, said: 'It's definitely worthwhile being on the show.

'It's good to meet people from the industry and I made some friends out of it which is good. There was some bitchiness.

'It wasn't perfect but it was quite surprising I felt so at ease.'

Since being on the Living TV show Lauren has done numerous media interviews, photo shoots, as well as a red carpet event in London.

The former Portsmouth Grammar School pupil said she'd also become quite a recognisable face on the street.

She said: 'People have come up to me on the street in Portsmouth and London saying "oh hi, you were great on the show". But then they don't have anything to say so there's a bit of a silence. It's a bit weird but quite fun.'

Lauren has a place at Bath Spa University to study religious and cultural studies from September but said she'll wait and see what modelling work comes in the next few months.

'I'm going to keep trying,' she said.

'This hasn't affected my confidence or diminished my passion for modelling. I've had a lot of exposure in the last few weeks but I've not got paid for it. It's up to me to go to modelling agencies in London and get my name out there.'
