Danielle Stewart has got what it takes to make it in the tough world of showbusiness.
She may only be 11, but the determined youngster already possesses enough self-belief not to take rejection personally.

The talented singer from Paulsgrove entered our Instant Star talent contest last year. But when she didn't win, in true showbiz tradition she just picked herself up, brushed herself down and entered again this year.

Dad Patrick Stewart said: 'For Danielle it's the taking part that's important, not neccessarily winning. She just really enjoys singing and being on stage.'

Mum Lisa added: 'Danielle is just 11 but has been told often that she has an extraordinary voice, mature beyond her years.

'She starts her first term at King Richard School this week but she'll continue her dancing classes at Southzone in Waterlooville and her private singing classes to help her with breathing exercises.'

Danielle has an extensive repertoire of songs including show tunes from musicals such as Chicago and Evita, and hits from the 50s and 60s. Last year she wowed the judges with her surprisingly grown-up version of All That Jazz.

At this year's audition, she'll be singing Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend, made famous by Marilyn Monroe.

Danielle's is just one of the entries we have received since we launched Instant Star last Thursday.

This year we're looking for two talented performers to take to the stage in 3Js to the Kings.

The two-night variety show will kick off the autumn season at the Kings Theatre in Southsea on September 20 and 21.

Could you be our instant star? How to enter
