Pompey defender Sol Campbell met Prime Minister Gordon Brown in the garden of 10 Downing Street last night as part of a campaign against racial discrimination.
Campbell was joined by other footballers for this year's Show Racism the Red Card hall of fame awards to recognise the work of players and other role models. Mr Brown and his wife Sarah greeted players, managers and Show Racism the Red Card staff.

Culture Secretary Andy Burnham handed out the awards, including ones to Campbell and M People singer Heather Small.

Mr Burnham said: 'I genuinely believe that other sectors of society should look at football – look at the leadership, the commitment, the passion and the energy that people put into tackling racism within football, and learn from it.'

Other guests included former Pompey goalkeeper Shaka Hislop and Chelsea manager Avram Grant, who has previously been Portsmouth's technical director.
