Charles Dickens was born in this modest house on February 7, 1812. The furniture, ceramics, glass, household objects and decorations faithfully re-create the Regency style which Charles's parents would have favoured. There are furnished rooms and an exhibition room displaying memorabilia and the couch on which he died.

Adult: £3 Child: £1.80 Family: £7.80. Concessions and group rates available. Booked UK school parties free. Car park nearby, coaches on street. Open daily April to October, 10 - 5.30, and 10 - 5 on Dickens's birthday, February 7.
