The City Museum's main display is "The Story of Portsmouth" commemorating the history of Portsmouth over the years. A wide range of temporary exhibitions take place every year and the Museum also features a Fine & Decorative Art Gallery.
The Records Office contains official City Archives dating back to the 14th century, parish records and large collections of material deposited by local businesses, organisations and families.
Closed on Public Holidays and December 24-26. Free admission, but groups must book in advance. Free car parking, coach parking nearby.
