Appeal for help after woman's flat raided

Police are appealing for witnesses after a thief broke into a ground floor flat and made off with hundreds of pounds worth of electrical items.
The burglary in Pelham Road, Southsea, took place between 9.30am and 5.40pm on September 3.
The 28-year-old householder came home from work to discover that the lock on the front door had been damaged as it had been forced open.
A Sony Cybershot digital camera, a USB memory stick, an iPod, two diamond and white gold necklaces and a Toshiba laptop had been stolen during the burglary.
The laptop contained personal photographs and coursework the young woman had been doing.
PC Alexandra Saccoccio said: 'I would appeal to anyone who heard anything during the day on Wednesday or saw anyone around the property to contact police.
'A substantial amount of items have been stolen from this woman's flat and it is important that we gain as much information as possible in order to identify the offender or offenders.'
