Published Date: 14 October 2008
A HOUSE was burgled in High Street, Old Portsmouth, while the owner was out.
Between 4.30pm and 6pm last Wednesday, the 42-year-old man living at the property was out, and when he returned he found that a side door had been forced open.

The man's wallet had been taken from inside the house. It contained a bank card and other personal cards.

PC Sharon Baber said: 'I would appeal to anyone who may have heard or seen someone breaking into the property.

'When entry was forced the burglars broke a pane of glass which was in the door, and that would have made a loud sound.

'If you think you can help please contact police.'

Anyone with information about the incident should contact PC Baber at Fratton police station on 0845 045 45 45 or get in touch with Crime- stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
