A teenager has been left devastated after thieves broke into a house and stole her pet Chihuahua worth thousands of pounds.
Chloe Farrant, 17, had left Charlie for an hour when she went to the park and came back to find him gone.

She only had him for just a week.

The thief had forced open a kitchen window and took the eight-week-old dog which is valued at £3,000 – but nothing else.

Chloe – pictured left with Charlie – now fears he has been sold on.

'I don't know how anyone could be so heartless. I can't stop crying and I just feel so angry with whoever took him,' she said.

'I don't think I'll ever see him again. He could be sold for thousands and I'm worried whoever took Charlie will have sold him by now.'

Chloe, of Blackmoor Walk, Havant, had been given the dog as a present from her dad.

She had left Charlie at her cousin's house in Farmside Gardens, Hilsea, at about 4pm on Friday. She returned an hour later but he had gone.

She added: 'I just feel heartbroken, every time I talk about it I just want to cry.

'Hopefully somebody who has been offered the chance to buy Charlie or has actually bought him will see this in the newspaper and realise that he already has an owner and his owner wants him back now.

'He is a lovely dog, really playful and boisterous but he is well behaved. He has not had his injections yet so I'm really worried about him.

'He's my baby.'

PC Michael Emery said: 'I would ask anyone who has seen or been offered a Chihuahua for sale in the last few days to contact police. It may be that whoever has taken the dog knew its value and could try and sell it on.'

If they took nothing else but the dog they knew where it was and that Chloe wasn't there, either someone is playing a cruel joke or someone she knows took it.
Hope she gets it back.
