HILSEA Lido main pool will be open for the summer from today.
The pool will open at 11am, a day later than planned due to technical problems with a circulating pump and the length of time it takes to fill the pool.

Cllr Terry Hall, cabinet member for culture and leisure at Portsmouth City Council, said: 'We have been working very hard to overcome some last minute problems with the main pool, but are confident it will open on July 25 for an enjoyable summer season.'

The splashpool at Hilsea Lido has been open since May half-term while the splashpool at Paulsgrove opened as planned yesterday.

The pool at Westfield School will open on Monday, August 4.

Hilsea Lido will be open every day from 11am to 6pm until September 2.
